Skill Education: Empowering Students through Skill Development
Being provided with an arena to enhance personal growth and empowerment is crucial for the all-round development of every child. Keeping this vision in sight and staying in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP), skill development classes were organised for students of classes VI to VIII.
The objective of the program was to impart practical skills that not only enhance creativity but also contribute to the preservation of traditional craftsmanship.
One such skill development class focused on dyeing technique where fabric is folded, twisted, or pleated and bound, then dyed, creating patterns where the tied areas resist the dye. The process involves applying a dye to fabric that has been pre-treated by folding and tying, leaving areas that resist the dye’s penetration to create unique patterns.
