Scouting is a worldwide movement. It is a voluntary movement and its motto is ‘Be Prepared’ for the service of mankind and protection of nature. Scouting activities help in physical development, mental development, social development, spiritual development and emotional development of young people (i.e boys & girls). KVS State of BS&G is one among the 52 Scouting States under the Bharat Scouts and Guides.

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a tri-services organization in India, open to school and college students, with a focus on grooming youth into disciplined and patriotic citizens. It is under the Ministry of Defence and aims to develop character, comradeship, and leadership in the youth. NCC provides basic military training and other activities like community development, adventure, and sports.
